Securify alternatives for Shopify

Securify bundles content protection with visitor rules, so merchants leaving it usually want one of those two halves done properly rather than both done broadly.

That split matters more than it sounds. Disabling right-click stops a person saving an image. It does nothing to a script, because a script never right-clicks. If automated collection is your problem, you are shopping in a different category than you think.

The catch: Like every blocking app on the App Store, Cordon runs as JavaScript in the visitor's browser. 2. Blockify

One of the longest-running country and IP blockers on the App Store.

Best for: Merchants who want a well-known name with a large review base and straightforward country and IP rules.

The catch: Rule-based blocking is only as current as the data behind it. Check how fresh its VPN and proxy data is if disguised traffic is your actual problem.

Established fraud-focused blocker with rule-based country and IP controls.

Best for: Merchants whose need is mostly geographic and who want a simple, proven set of rules.

4. Shopify's built-in tools

Shopify Payments fraud analysis, manual order cancellation, and market/region settings.

Best for: Merchants whose problem is fraudulent orders rather than unwanted traffic. If you only need to stop selling somewhere, Markets does that for free.

The catch: None of it stops a visitor arriving, browsing or scraping. It acts at the order, not at the visit. If your problem is traffic rather than orders, this is not the tool.

5. Your own CDN rules (headless only)

Cloudflare or similar rules in front of a Hydrogen or custom storefront you control.

Best for: Headless merchants. If you own the infrastructure in front of your storefront, this is genuinely the strongest option available, stronger than any app here.

Requests are stopped at the network layer, before your origin sees them
Catches raw HTTP clients that never run JavaScript, which no App Store app can reach

The catch: Only possible on a headless build. On a standard Shopify storefront you cannot put your own CDN in front of the platform, so this option is simply not available.

So which should you pick?

If you want content protection specifically, deterrents like right-click and copy disabling are worth having and Securify bundles them. Cordon includes them too, but neither stops an automated collector.

If your actual problem is bots and scrapers loading thousands of pages, that is a detection problem, and breadth of features is not what solves it.

Yes. Cordon has a free plan that covers country, IP and ASN rules. Shopify's own Markets settings can also restrict which regions can buy, at no cost, if stopping orders rather than traffic is what you need.

Can I switch from Securify without downtime?

Yes. These apps work independently, so you can install a second one, rebuild your rules, confirm it behaves as you expect, and only then uninstall the first. Running both briefly is safe; the stricter rule simply wins.

Will blocking traffic hurt my SEO?

It will if the app blocks search crawlers by mistake, which is the most common way this goes wrong. Cordon always allows verified search engines and AI crawlers and cannot be configured to block them, so a country or ASN rule cannot accidentally deindex you. Check that whichever app you pick does the same.

Can any of these stop my product feed being downloaded?
